Police seek public’s help in Surfside Beach shooting

Due to crime stoppers tips, Deandre Grey was arrested for the murder of Derek Milam, of Houston, TX on April 7, 2012 at Surfside Beach, TX.

Derek Milam, 26, of Houston, was fatally wounded and his body was found near the end of Gulfway Court, just a few feet from the sand dunes. Another person was wounded due to gunshots fired but it wasn't fatal.

Wells Fargo Robber- Pearland, TX

Due to a Crime Stoppers tip, Ashley Nicole Facundo was arrested by HPD on Dec. 8, 2011 for the robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank, in Pearland, TX. The information that the tipster gave let to her arrest. The tipster will receive a very nice holiday present! Many thanks!

Copper Theft - Lake Jackson, TX

Brazoria County Crime Stoppers wishes to thank the tipsters who submitted valuable tip information that eventually led to the arrests of the criminals that commited the copper theft crimes that occured on September of 2010 and again in January of 2011, in Lake Jackson, Texas.

With the help of crime stoppers tips and ads ran by The Facts News Paper, Pearland Journal, The Police News, and The Alvin Sun Advertiser, law enforcement were able to capture Damian Lowther, Melvin Harris, and Christopher Fuller.

Some time later, Nicholas Stutes and Adam McGaha were also arrested by Lake Jackson Police Department. If it weren't for the willingness of the tipsters that submitted anonymous tips, local media and the diligence of the law enforcement, these arrests may not have happened.

Along with Lake Jackson Police Department and Brazoria County Crime Stoppers, we wish to express our gratitude to Channel 2, 11, 13, 26, and 39 news for their help in broadcasting our "Crime of the Week" on several different occasions . After making off with a large quantity of copper wire and causing damage to several businesses, the cost of this theft amounted to approx. $30,000.

Crime Stoppers would like to thank all of the law enforcement agencies who assisted in this quest to find these fugitives from justice. Our thanks goes out to Harris County Sheriff's Department, Montgomery County Sheriff's Department, Walker County Sheriff's Department, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department, Brazoria County Sheriff's Department, and Conroe Police Department.

A "special thank you" to the Oak Ridge North Police Department for being extra dilligent on the pursuit of these suspects. These criminals are now in custody awaiting justice.

During the time that they are incarcerated, Adam McGaha, Melvin Harris, Nicholas Stutes, Damian Lowther, and Christopher Fuller, will enjoy the company of other inmates and the fine dining facilities.

Credit Card Theft - Lake Jackson, TX

Three men that have been indicted on felony theft charges of a stolen credit card. They bought $430 worth of electronics, food and clothing at several Lake Jackson businesses on July 28, 2011, detective Bryan Sidebottom said. They tried to use the card at other businesses the same day but were denied.

Thanks to the help of the media, Brazoria County Crime Stoppers and the hard work from Detective Bryan Sidebottom of LJPD, all three have been arrested and charges filed !

This is just another example of how

- Ray Sambrano Homicide - Rosharon, TX

Brazoria County Sheriff's Office has indicted Travis Coleman Jr., and his brother, Jared Coleman, in the shooting death of their mother's boyfriend, Ray Sambrano. Both brothers are being held at the Brazoria County Detention Center on $200,000 bond. If convicted, they both could face a life sentence.
